Not only does Leslie Jones absolutely kill it every week on SNL, she’s starred in the hottest movie of the summer (if you’ve been living under a rock, the movie is Ghostbusters,) but she ALSO does stand up comedy.
To get us all ready for her performance TONIGHT at the Mirage, Leslie called into the show and had us laughing the entire time.
Jones told us all about what it was like to be a newcomer on Saturday Night Live. “When I first started I felt like I needed to get the mistakes out of my system,” she said. That mistake came while she was doing a skit with Chris Rock. “I was doing a skit with Chris Rock and they changed it up on me. I didn’t realize that I wasn’t where I was supposed to be until I heard the stage producer yelling at me LESLIE!”
Jones has been in the news a lot lately over people sending her a bunch of hatred on Twitter, so we had to hear why she felt people were being so mean spirited. “I really believe that people don’t realize what they are putting out there until you call them out on it.”
Before we let her go we also had to see what she thought about one of our favorite shows– Game of Thrones. “C’mon man! We can talk Game of Thrones for hours. The dragons are going to kill the white walkers, but we can’t talk about that right now because we would be going too deep.”
