  • Update: Autopsy reveals Carrie Fisher had heroin, cocaine, and ecstasy in her system.
  • Her daughter, Billie Lourd released a statement about the findings.
  • She said, “My mom battled drug addiction and mental illness her entire life. She ultimately died of it. I know my Mom, she’d want her death to encourage people to be open about their struggles. Love you Mommy.”
  • Though she had multiple substances in her system, it is unclear if drug use ultimately contributed to her death.
  • On Friday, the coroner’s office revealed her death was caused by sleep apnea and other undetermined factors.

  • Study shows that millennial women are struggling more than their mothers did.
  • Millennial women are worse off than those of the Baby Boomer generation in terms of economic equality, health, and overall wellbeing.
  • They’re experiencing higher poverty, higher maternal mortality and suicide, rising incarceration rates and fewer high-paying STEM (sciences, tech, engineering and math) jobs.
  • Baby Boomers wellbeing rose 66% compared to their moms, Gen X only saw a 2% gain, and millennials’ has declined 1%.
  • Good news? Teen birth rates have dropped, number of women with college degrees has increased.

  • It’s been a big few weeks for Jay Z. He was the first hip-hop artist inducted in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, he has a new album dropping on the 30th, and his wife just gave birth to twins.
  • Along with that though, he’s changing his name again.
  • Back in 2013, he dropped the hyphen becoming Jay Z, instead of Jay-Z.
  • Well, Jay Hyphen Z is back…he has picked it up again ahead of the release of his visual album 4:44.

  • People are using Coca-Cola as self-tanner, and apparently, it works!
  • It started in England and while it sounds bizarre, it does make you look tanner. Sure, you’re going to be sticky and it’s not healthy, but…
  • The soda contains a caramel dye, which when applied to the skin, can give it that coveted characteristically bronzed tone.
  • The problems is that it makes tanning worse…it is acidic, could exfoliate dead cells, enhancing the ability of UV light to penetrate into the skin which could increase your risk of a sun burn.
