McDonald's Launches Candles That Smell Like Quarter Pounders

February 20, 2020

The relaxing scent of fast-food beef could soon be wafting through your home and without even ordering any burgers.

McDonald’s has unveiled a new line of candles in honor of their iconic Quarter Pounder, and it features aromas that mimic the smell of the sandwich’s main ingredients, according to Delish.

The collection of six candles come in glass containers and contain the scent of hamburger bun, ketchup, pickle, cheese, onion and 100% fresh beef. Lavender and sandalwood say what?!

While the olfactory treats come as a set, McDonald’s is urging fans to “burn them together for maximum deliciousness.”

The price of the candle pack has yet to be released and is just one of the items being offered as part of the burger giant’s new Quarter Pounder Fan Club.

“For nearly 50 years the Quarter Pounder burger has been a craveable and delicious fan favorite,” the chain said in a statement. “We know love is always in the air for our die-hard burger enthusiasts, so we launched the Quarter Pounder Fan Club to give everyone a tangible way to publicly display their affection for the hot and deliciously juicy 100% fresh beef Quarter Pounder.”

Quarter Pounder aficionados who aren’t interested in a meaty fragrance can choose from a series of other burger-centric items.

There’s a 14K gold filled ‘Quarter Pounder with Love’ Locket replete with four photos of the Quarter Pounder, the Quarter Pounder Bacon, the Quarter Pounder Deluxe, and the Double Quarter Pounder. Hungry yet?

A 2020 calendar full of seasonal photos of the QP, a solid brass pin, t-shirt and mittens round out the list of swag being offered online.

Currently, only the calendar and locket are available to be purchased, but Quarter Pounder fans should follow McDonald’s Instagram account to be notified when the rest of the limited-edition merch drops.

In the meantime, you can always go old school and show your love for the almighty QP by rolling up to Mickey D’s and just ordering one.
