Fitz and the Tantrums Tell Tales From the Tour Bus

The band spills all in the Underground Lounge

August 16, 2019

Life on the road is tough, especially when your band includes six members, a vast tour family and an armada of buses ferrying everyone and everything from one side of the country to the other.

Such is life, even for established bands like indie pop favorites Fitz and the Tantrums

Before taking the stage for their tour-ending show with Young the Giant Friday night at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, Michael "Fitz" Fitzpatrick, Noelle Scaggs and their Tantrum brothers pulled into the Mix 94.1 Underground Lounge to say hi, chat with the fans and play a few songs.

After more than two months and dozens of stops on the cross-country tour, Mix 94.1's Heather Collins had to ask the gang some of those behind the scenes questions we all want to who's the messiest on that crampled tour bus.

And after a second-place showing in the heated vote for funniest Fitz & the Tantrums member, keyboardist Jeremy Ruzumna had to drop the Daddiest Dad Joke That Ever Dadded.  No was. Check out the video above for the proof!

With their new album "All the Feels" dropping next month, the group ripped through a wicked four song set, including the new record's single "I Just Wanna Shine" as well as the Fitz trademark bouncer "123456." Of course, the band didn't disappoint on Fitz classics "The Walker" and "HandClap."

Afterward, the group hung around to talk and take pictures with the lucky Underground Lounge fans.
