What’s Trending: Thursday, March 14th, 2019



§     Facebook says the company is not the victim of a hack, but it’s aware of problems with users trying to access their accounts.

§     Facebook and Instagram users in the U.S. experienced widespread outages for most of the day.

§     Complaints started ramping up around 9am our time yesterday.

§     The messaging app WhatsApp was also having issues…both that and IG are owned by Facebook.

§     Some users said they can open the apps but they couldn’t post anything, while others couldn’t get into their accounts at all.



§     Study: Americans feel guilty about almost a third of the food they eat.

§     Food guilty lasts for nearly 20 minutes for each occurrence.

§     It’s caused primarily by the awareness of food being unhealthy, along with overeating and high sugar content.



§     He’s launching a new musical celebrity game show.

§     It’s called “That’s My Jam.”

§     It’s inspired by his popular bit, “Wheel of Musical Impressions.”

§     It will be a 10-episode hourlong celebrity competition series.

§     No word on a premier date yet.



§     March 14th is Pi Day, the annual celebration of the mathematical constant 3.14, which is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter.

§     Albert Einstein was born on Pi Day and last year, noted astrophysicist Stephen Hawking died on Pi Day.

§     In honor, many businesses are offering Pi Day specials including BJ’s (a mini one-topping pizza for $3.14), CPK (a slice of Key Lime Pie for $3.14), and Marie Callenders (free slice of pie with adult entrée purchase with printed coupon.)
