§     The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and lead singer of the rock band The Cars died yesterday.

§     Police received a call yesterday afternoon for an unconscious male. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

§     He appeared to have died from natural causes.

§     He was 78 years old.



§     The Lady Aces move advance in the WNBA playoffs after a buzzer beater shot by Dearica Hamby!

§     They were trailing the Chicago Sky by two points in the elimination game in the second round of the playoffs yesterday.

§     They were trying to foul Chicago’s Courtney Vandersloot at the end of the game when she tossed a pass up near midcourt that was stolen by Hamby.

§     She dribbled and threw the ball up and made the 3-pointer that gave the Aces the lead and win 93-92.

§     They now face the Washington Mystics in Washington in a best-of-5 series semifinal.

§     The first game is Tuesday at 5:30pm.



§     Survey: A third of families sit in silence while eating.

§     It seems that many parents don’t know what to talk about with their kids, with three in 10 saying they struggle to come up with dinner-time conversation topics.

§     And sometimes parents are lucky to sit at the same table, as 4 in 10 say they don’t even eat dinner at the same time as their kids most days.

§     The big reason for lack of conversation is distractions—1 in 5 say they leave the tv on and 44% say they usually stare at their phones while eating.



§     The Vegas Golden Knights took to the ice for the first time in the preseason opener against the Arizona Coyotes at the T-Mobile Arena.

§     They beat them 6-2 with Cody Eakin, Reilly Smith and Brayden McNabb all scoring.

§     But it was Max Pacioretty that got the coveted hat trick…three goals and an assist to help secure the win.

§     Malcolm Subban played the entire game, making 29 saves.
