§     Heartbreaking news yesterday…the Los Angeles Angels announced that pitcher Tyler Skaggs had died before Monday’s game against the Rangers in Texas.

§     Police found the 27-year-old pitcher dead in his hotel room.

§     The game was immediately postponed.

§     The Southlake Police Department said that officers arrived at the Hilton Hotel where they were staying and found him unresponsive and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

§     At this time, no foul play is suspected.

§     Officials have approved a plan allowing parking tickets to be paid by donating school supplies.

§     All the donations from the parking tickets will be given to the Teachers Exchange, a nonprofit that is associated with the Public Education fund.

§     Those who get a ticket before July 19th can satisfy their tickets by bringing new, unwrapped school supplies of equal or greater value to the Parking Services Office on Main St.

§     Some of the items accepted include pencils, pens, erasers, dry erase markers, index cards, paper towel and copy paper.

§     94% of public school teachers in the U.S. reported buying supplies with their own money without being reimbursed.

§     “Old Town Road” has now been No. 1 on the Hot 100 longer than any hip hop song in history.

§     It’s maintained the top spot for its 13th consecutive week.

§     It has eclipsed “Boom Boom Pow” by Black Eyed Peas, “See You Again” by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth and “Lose Yourself” by Eminem.

§     He was met with love and support from fans and fellow musicians upon sharing the post.

§     Halo Top milkshakes are coming to Subway.

§     America’s favorite low-cal ice cream is getting a milkshake upgrade.

§     From July 22nd through September 4th, the sandwich shop with introduce the first Halo Top “hand-spun” milkshakes at 1000 Subway locations as part of a test phase.

§     They will have 350 calories or less and 20 grams of protein each and will come in three flavors: vanilla bean, chocolate and strawberry.

§     Right now, the only cities they’ll be available in are Colorado Springs, Hartford, Longview and Tyler Texas, Salt Lake City, Toledo and West Palm Beach.
