    • The term is slang for an entitled, obnoxious, middle-aged white woman.
    • A Twitter user set off a firestorm when he tweeted out, “I think the male version of a ‘Karen’ should be a ‘Jeremy.’ Anyone object—besides Jeremy?”

  • #Flavortown
    • There’s a new petition that is calling for Columbus, Ohio to be renamed “Flavortown.”
    • The reasoning behind the name change is twofold. First, it honors Central Ohio’s proud heritage as a culinary crossroads and one of the nation’s largest test markets for the food industry.
    • Secondly, celebrity chef Guy Fieri was born there and they feel naming the city to honor him would be superior to its current namesake, Christopher Columbus.
    • Earlier last week, the mayor of Columbus ordered the Christopher Columbus statue in front of City Hall to be removed and placed in storage.
    • The petition is close to its 25,000 signature goal.
